What do you like to do in your spare time?
I work at Lao Laan Xang and for the Rape Crisis Center’s youth advisory board and also like to volunteer at organizations like the YWCA and Second Harvest. I am the East High School captain for Student Senate, a part of principal advisory, Raza United and a chapter of March For Our Lives. I also love reading, crocheting, going for walks or runs and being on the swim team.
What’s your favorite subject?
When it comes to money, what would you like to learn?
I would like to learn more about investments and stocks. “Making money while you sleep” sounds very appealing but I haven’t taken the time to fully understand what it means.
If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it?
I would divide the money into three parts: saving, giving, and spending. I would tuck about 50% into savings, 25% I would donate, and the other 25% I would give myself to spend.
What is the most exciting thing you have ever done?
I went to the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France!
What have you done that really scared you?
I was on a trip in North Carolina and we went to Grandfather Mountain. We were very high up and it was a super windy day but I had to go on an unsteady bridge to get from one side of the mountain to the other. Since it was so high up, I was very scared of falling off of the bridge!
What excites you most about Project Teen Money?
I'm excited to see the creativity that everyone produces in their videos! I’m also excited to share my financial knowledge with others.
“At the end of this challenge, I hope that I gain a better financial education and am able to provide some of my financial knowledge and experiences with my community. There is a lack of financial literacy given to high school students and I hope that I can at least reach one person with one piece of new information. ”
