Meet Maggie
Year in school:
Senior at Madison West
When I grow up I want to be:
A doctor, either a pediatrician or OB/GYN
When I go to college, I would like to attend:
University of Minnesota-Twin Cities probably, but unsure as of now
What do you like to do in your spare time (include employment, extracurricular activities, community activities, etc.)?
In my free time, I love to bake, read, and watch TV. I love to watch doctor and crime shows. I also love volunteering, especially at my mom's school. I work at least once a week as a server at a breakfast restaurant. I also do dive and gymnastics as sports during the summer.
What’s your favorite subject?
Science, either Chemistry or Biology
When it comes to money, what would you like to learn?
I would like to learn how to properly save and make interest on money.
If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it?
I would put at least ¾ of it into a savings account to gain even more money. And with the remainder, I would go on my dream vacation, which is either the Maldives or a trip around Europe.
What is the most exciting thing you have ever done?
I’m not able to narrow it down to one thing, but I would say that any vacation that I’ve been on with my friends or family has been fun, as I don’t go on a lot of them.
What have you done that really scared you?
I talked in front of a crowd of 100+ people at a music festival.
What excites you most about Project Teen Money?
The thing that excites me the most about Project Teen Money is the opportunity to learn and teach about financial literacy.
Name three words to describe you:
Energetic, Creative, Compassionate
“At the end of this challenge, I hope that I have learned a lot about money – saving it, spending it, investing it – and have been able to share what I’ve learned with others in ways that they find interesting and informative.”
